What is Counselling?

Counselling is a collaborative process tailored to individual needs. It is client-focused and provides a safe and confidential environment for you to explore your issues and concerns. 

 

It will support you to work through memories or aspects of your life and better understand yourself and set personal goals and support you to work towards them.

 

The approach integrates various psychological theories and techniques to address the cognitive, emotional, behavioural, and relational aspects of human experience, aiming for holistic growth and transformation.

Health Coaching is an integrative, client-centered approach that supports you in making behavioural changes to support your health goals.

 

Health coaches empower clients holistically, through psycho-education, behaviour change, and developing meaning and the motivation for change.

Wellness Coaching is closely related to health coaching and has a broader focus. It works with overall well-being rather than specific health outcomes. Wellness is about working towards an optimal state of well-being.

 

Wellness coaching is holistic and integrates various dimensions that include physical, mental, emotional, social, occupational and the spiritual/meaning making.

 

Wellness coaching supports individuals identify their values and goals, enhances self-awareness and builds confidence. Coaches use a range of techniques to foster a transformational journey towards improved quality of life, emphasising the connection between mind, body, and spirit.

Executive Coaching is a personalized process that aims to enhance the professional performance and personal development of individuals in leadership positions. While it focuses on the executive's role within an organization, the approach is holistic. It works with the individuals’ values, strengths, attitudes and develop strategies to negotiate challenges.

 

Executive coaching is person centred and supports you to develop new skills in achieving your professional goals, decision making and working in complex and dynamic environments.

What are Mind-Body Practices?

Mind-body Practices or Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), often referred to as "tapping". It draws on various theories, including acupuncture, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), energy medicine, and Thought Field Therapy (TFT). EFT is designed to address the emotional components of physical and psychological distress by tapping on specific meridian points on the body while focusing on resolving specific issues through developing new perspectives.

 

The practice is integrative and holistic. It blends elements from Eastern medicine with Western psychotherapy principles and can be transformational. 

 

EFT practice creates empowerment. It suports you to release emotional blockages. Practitioners and clients report benefits in areas such as anxiety, depression, phobias, stress, chronic pain, and other emotional and physical conditions.

Hypnotherapy is a skilled communication aimed at directing a person’s imagination in a way that helps elicit changes in some perceptions, sensations, feelings, thoughts and behaviours.

 

Hypnotherapy may be found to be helpful for those seeking relief from a range of problems and is used alongside a person’s own willpower and motivation to seek a desired goal. It is often used to help relieve anxiety, aid sleeping, address attitudes to weight, and help clients achieve behavioural change to stop smoking. It may also help build confidence issues.

 

Hypnotherapy may help people to cope with and manage the relief of perceived pain, anxiety, stress and habits.
